From July 3 to 6, 2008, the AT&T National Tournament returned to the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda (Montgomery County). The Tournament's inaugural event was held there as well in 2007. Hosted by the world's top-ranked player, Tiger Woods, the Tournament will be on the PGA Tour through 2009. Future tournaments at Congressional Country Club include the 2011 men's U.S. Open.
For the fourth year in a row, the McDonald's Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Championship was held in Havre de Grace (Harford County) at the Bulle Rock Golf Club, June 5-8, 2008.
Baltimore Country Club in Timonium (Baltimore County) hosted the 2007 Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship, and again will host the Championship from October 9 to 12, 2008. This tournament is one of five major championships on the PGA Champions Tour.
