Board of Directors, Committee for Montgomery, 2006-07; District 18 Caucus, Montgomery County Democratic Party, 2006-07; African-American Democratic Club of Montgomery County, 2006-; Maryland Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials. Charter member, Coalition of Kensington Communities (co-chair, traffic & transportation committee). Member, Montgomery Preservation, Inc.; Sierra Club; Maryland League of Conservation Voters.
